The
Leftersons is a satirical parody of an ultra-liberal family and their often
misguided – and humorous – take on the world around them. Upton
("Dad") is a Corporate Sensitivity Trainer, Imelda ("Mom")
is the Director of Diversity at DSHS, their son, Stalin, is a precocious 10-year
old, daughter Hillary is already a liberal activist at the age of 14. Aunt Janet
is an unpredictable former government official, and Imelda's older sister. She's
the visitor who just won't leave. Fidel, the family dog, is a lovable crossbreed
without a clue. Their goldfish, Gorby is the bubbly voice of conservatism,
swimming in a sea of liberalism. Hugh Jeego is a local, blatantly biased
TV news anchor. Ironically, Stalin's best friend is a conservative boy and
neighbor named Tommy … whose mission it is to convert Stalin to "the
Right Side".

Ot by
Will O'Toole. Sports editorials that tackle the real issues in
America's pastimes – politics, money, religion, drugs, and other controversies
that are discussed by the media, players, and fans. Drawn with a biting
"tongue-in-cheek", this cartoonist likes to tweak the noses, sometimes
cynically, of the so-called "eclectics" – the institutions (e.g.,
NCAA), owners, agents, and players. "Sports are a reflection of society
with the same problems as the real world. The problem is we can no longer
separate fantasy from reality; they've been soldered."
